Also do you find that the engine runs differently (better or worse) now that you would get extra oxygen into the engine? Cause from what i've heard the box limits the amount of oxygen pressure therefore creating just the right amount of oxygen to the engine. So changing that would change the oxygen to the engine?

May need to create some sort of umbrella type system to prevent it from sucking in too much water when riding in the rain!

I have riden my bike in the rain plenty of times but being a daytona it's kinda coverd buy the seat if you were realy worried about it you could just pipe it a little further under seat. Love the sucking noise of pod filters even on smaller engines.

Benno may remember my ratty Spyder with filter mesh literally clamped over the carb mouths, no intake whatsoever.

Hey dude how did you get the angle on the air take? Wouldn't it make sense to take it through the frame and mount it under the seat (better for the water issue) Just mainly wondering why you decided to mount it to one side? Cheers.

Cheers. i didnt change any angles, that's just where everything points on a 2011 bobber... All I did was rip the original air box out and slip a pod filter on the throat of the induction. There's lots of ways to make it more practical.. But I always like to have the least and smallest amount of parts I can get away with. Though my great theory often leaves me stuck under a bridge or beside the road somewhere.. I actually think the best option would be to modify the the stock air box to breath better.. But it wouldn't look as cool!!

I plan on doing the pod filter mod soon. The rubber on my airbox is looking shabby and cracked, and I hear things sound better and run better with a pod. We'll see. I'll post some pics when I get it done.
