Ok so i brought a brand new 2015 Laro Prostreet/Hunter Daytona last year from sumoto in melbourne..3 months ago riding home i had an issue where my rear wheel locked up and blew out the oil seal..
So i had it picked up and sent back to the dealer ship which they had for 14 days to only replace the oil seal and find out ehy it had locked up, they're conclusion was "the oil seal just blew"..
So i headed in there obviously stoked to get my bike back, they had replaced a few gaskets, and done a minor service so i ended up paying $303 for all that, not too bad..
Anyway, literally 25-30 minutes into my trip home, about 100 metres from the freeway entrance at 80km my rear wheel seized again?? Luckily i didnt lose it!
I called sumoto straight away and they said they fixed what they thought needed fixing and they wouldnt cover it now.. so i got it home, pulled it apart to find the oil seal blew again and there was a small crack.. so i siliconed the crack replaced the oil seal and all good, started and ran great..
Once again, 30 minutes into my trip to work it blew again? Got it home to find out that the whole drive shaft had ripped completely out the back of the engine casing!! So curious as to know how it happened l started calling mechanics and theyre responses were "either the rear axle was too tight" or " they done the chain up so tight i had no slack"
Is it possible they done this as a way to make more money? Because apparently it was going to cost around 2k in labour??!!
Nope...
So as an alternative and so desperate to get back on my bike i purchased a second hand motor from salamander bay in NSW for $500.. seemed good, only had 4000km on it, got it in the bike, sounded really nice but when i test rode it i discovered that it had no 5th gear it engaged but just kept slipping..
Curious i ripped it open in the attempt to fix it as i couldn't afford to send it to a shop.. i discovered that the 5th gear was actually missing a few teeth, took the spare out of my old motor all good.. went back together with nothing missing so easy
However i made a few mistakes....
1. I forgot to mark my timing.. ive played atound with it, im fairly sure i found top dead centre snd im pretty sure its in time now but not 100%
2. It WILL NOT start.. power, check, fuel, check, spark, check, fuses, check.. it has fuel in it but will not injected, pump wont work.. starter wont work either so i tried bypassing the solenoid, cranks but still wont fire?
This all happened after i removed the battery to charge it.. i did find a small frayed with but I've fixed that
Does anybody know what to do? I can't afford a mech at the moment, this was my daily transport and ive spent 2 months trying to figure it out..
I know this is stupid but will it start without oil? Because i was wondering, seeing as it now has a leak it was pretty empty.. does anyone know if it has sn oil sensor??
Im located east melbourne so if you can help would be muchly appreciated.. before i just tourch the thing
Also incase your wondering, its financed so i cant sell it snd i also went past my service which is why they wouldn't cover it
