Hi all
Trudy here, Benno's better half
We're getting pretty excited as we are heading to China in less than 2 weeks. We are going to visit the Hunter Motorcycles production team, have a look around and also head to the Canton Trade Fair.
This is the first chance we've had to visit China since we bought Hunter almost 1 year ago, so we're really keen to meet with our people over there who we've only been able to communicate with via phone and Email so far. Even though we work pretty closely with the guys over there, there's nothing like face to face over a few beers. Might have to scrub up on our Karaoke skills as I hear it's pretty popular in China, lmfao. Benno says no fucking way.
It'll be great to see our bikes actually in production, as well as discuss future plans and ideas for new models etc.
The Canton Trade Fair should be pretty awesome too. They have over 55,000 exhibitors over the course of a week, but we will only be there for 2 days, when the auto traders have their bit of the Fair on show. We're hoping to find some new contacts for manufacturers of parts and accessories that will bolt straight on to the Hunters. Benno would really like to find someone to supply those little fairings that will fit on easily. He's bought a few over the net, but none look quite right.
Hopefully we can find some cool custom gear that will fit our bikes without any hassle.
We don't know what to expect, but in a country of 1.3 BILLION people, I'm pretty sure we'll be walking around all goggle-eyed just checking out the people and places. We don't have time to go to The Great Wall and all the popular tourist spots, but as long as we see bikes and more bikes, and stuff to do with bikes, we'll be happy!
So if you need parts etc, we'll be away from the 7th to 18th April, and back in the office on Monday 20th. Not sure what the internet connection is like over there, and I'm pretty sure that facebook is not allowed, but we will try to reply to any Emails etc.
I think Benno will disable the online parts shop until we get back.
Hopefully I'll have a load of pics to put up when we get back!
