HI all,
I am thinking about buying a Hunter. I used to ride but stopped about ten years ago when I got done for not having my License the second time and speeding . Dont ask me now why I never bothered getting my license because now it just seems so stupid. Any who I feel the open road calling me dramatically again (midlife crisis??) and Ive decided to buy a bike again. Im doing it properly this time and getting my license and hopefully learning some things to stop previous bad habits. I need to have a lams bike for 12 ths (bummer). I don't and have never ridden rice burners, Im loose enough without one of them between my legs. So Ive been pointed to Hunter, bikes look the goods and good to support aussie company.
Thing is ive been reading some horror stories about them on the internet so thats how I ended up here . I would like to see how guys who ride em rate em. I am of the opinion that people will take the effort to go and write a review if something is fucked but usually wont when shit is good so you end up with negative reviews when in real life that could be such a minority.
I also want to know (before i go and test myself) if there are particular models that are more suited for types of riding. Im going to be riding to and from work and i will be touring on the weekends 2 hour rides each way usually. So I need to be able to whack bags, sissy and saddle bags on it.
Also has anyone had any experience with re-sale? In twelve month I will be upgrading to a Trumpy( sorry always a british guy, dad had em, tradition n all that) so I am hoping i can move the Hunter on reasonably quickly and for a good price.
Who know i may end up loving it so much I keep it.....orrrr maybe i could finally get the wife riding?
