Hi to everyone. I am looking at buying a new Daytona and have been getting mixed reviews about the Hunter brand so I thought I would come to the horses mouth rather than the horses ass. I work and live in the outback for now and am wondering how the bike would be in 40 degree temp and no local dealer around. I am a couple of weeks away from buying a bike and really interested in the Hunter brand and if there are any issues I should address before I head back out west. I will be on the Gold Coast for a month before retuning to longreach. Thanks in advance.

Mate, the only bad shit I ever heard about Hunters came from the mouths of people who never rode one but bag it simply because it is "chink crap". Temp should not be a problem and so long as you are capable of servicing the bike yourself, not having a dealer near should not be an issue (though that might incur warranty issues). I've been riding mine for close to a year now and have had no major dramas. And when I say riding it, I mean riding it. I'm not a Sunday good weather rider. The Hunter is my main means of transport so it gets some work. The engine and gear box seem pretty solid. There is some cheap crap stuff on the bike for sure, like the instrument cluster, but all the important stuff is good. Keep it maintained and loved and you should not have any issues.

Thanks for that. Just as I thought. Good and bad in everything I suppose. There are many different dealers out here for every other bike company, just wondering if I could use them regarding warranty. I always maintain and love all my boys toys so that's not a problem. Just want to keep riding. Thanks again.

In the Warranty Terms and Conditions it says "Warranty will only be approved for motorcycles with regular routine services by licensed motorcycle workshop technicians approved by Hunter Motorcycle Group Pty Ltd." " Outside of quoting that I can't help regarding the rules of the warranty and what they will and wont accept sorry. One thing I will add though is that the customer service from Hunter is exceptional.

An honest opinion I have a spyder 350 and have had multiple issues on its 2nd engine in 10,000km was under warranty only paid for labour. Have had it towed in with electrical problem. And the 3rd time it's gone back is it was failing to charge after 2 years which is now waiting for me to pick up. So as I've noticed not many people I know have had these issues with other hunters so think I'm just unlucky mechanical wise. Other then that I love my bike rides realy well looks awesome. I would recommend getting one as long as u keep on top of all the maintenance. I think they aren't a large name yet but I think they will develop a lot more in the future. Despite the trouble I've had with the bike I still love it.

Yeah but it can happen with any bike. I know blokes with Harley's that have issues and mates with sports bikes that keep throwing codes. I love my bike wish I could get bigger engine thou. It does 130 nicely
