Essentially no you can't bore out a 350. You might be able to a little but not enough to make any real difference.

You can Bore the 250 out. However, its not just the barrels, the cases have to be done too, the sleeves go down into the cases. Theoretically, if you machined 250 cases you could use 350 barrels, though I haven't heard of it being done.

Hi guys, I've been looking seriously at buying a Hunter Spyder. As like most of you in the past I have owned Japanese and American bikes and know the mechanical working of these bikes inside and out. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on all the Hunters, especially with nuts and bolts continuously working loose, nothing Loctite won't take care of. My biggest question is the engine! now I have seen on other forums that some are saying it is based off an early to mid 80's Honda motor and others are saying that's a load of shit. What is the truth on this motor? Personally I don't care to much about rough welding, bad gearing, crapping EFI, bad suspension etc etc as their easy to over come. Basically what is this 350 engine, is it cheap and nasty Chinese junk or is it based of a tried and true Japanese makers engine? Now on this forum I have heard that the 350 engine can not be bored out so I'm guessing it's a 250 barrel that has already been bored out to the max. How does one go if needing to replace rings at some stage and has anyone ever had to replace rings in their bike yet and if so at how many kilometers?
