Awk them well similar thing happend to me i had some really dirty spark plugs and they caused my bike to stall and not want to start.
now u said it left you in the rain can i assume you were riding in the rain. Now most of the time there isn't a problem with that but if a small amount of water has got into some of the wiring then this could be your problem get your bike home dry it down and check to see how dirty your spark plugs are if they are bad then give them a clean or replace them.
start with the easiest and cheapest thing first might be a simple fix.
Also check under the tank there will be 2 wires that mount to the spark plug leads make sure these are still connected should be 2 small wires for each lead.
If you dont know how to check the spark plug you can watch my video on how to replace spark plugs in the DIY section.
hope this fix's the problem if not then keep posting in here i will keep and eye out for a reply.

Admin. They don't know what the problem is I have been advised that they are waiting to put a new engine in. Which is good but disappointed I have to pay labour when the bikes only 1 1/2 years old under 8000km.

Hey Benno is there a way to ensure that they have exhausted all options in regards to fixing this bike ? as an engine swap will be costly and time consuming. hope you can help

They won't pull the old one apart as I won't pay for the labour to do so knowing that I would still have to pay the labour to put the new one in. He mentioned a few things that it could be but is not certain.

The cheapest option for hunter would be to have the dealer strip the motor and us supply the parts. The best option for the customer is replacement engine.. They have to remove and replace the engine to tear it down anyway. How long since you last had it serviced Nathan ?
