I would like to be able to buy different coloured tins tank with matching front and rear fender.
Perhaps just like solid black red green and so on, or maybe like a custom range with decals or something.
Just my idea for the day, who else would like this ?

I've actually got a few sets of air brushed tins. Different custom one off designs. Some dealers offer repsraying as an option. I know AllBikes in Slacks creek seem to repspray every second bike they sell Matt Black.

Hey benno do they spray just the tank and fenders or the frame as well?
Been considering a respray given it needs a touch up anyway

Re spraying frame is a much bigger job. It can be done but involves stripping whole bike.

Sorry benno that's what I mean, they only paint the fenders and tank matte black and leave the frame the normal black?
Have you photos, I would imagine that would look either really cool or really bad, hard to imagine!

yeah you could have the bike striped in a few hours if you new your way around a basic tool box.
then you could just take it to any painter and the would respray it for you save a bit of cash on labour that way. you could even save more money if you striped all the old paint of it before hand as swell.

Ok dam well i no i have seen the rear gaurd fitted to the spyder before but how much modification is needed to make it fit ?
i understand that the tank dosent bolt strait up but that's ok I can make it fit if I decide to get it.
and i take it that the front fender fits straight on.

Or is there going to be any kits for the daytona in the future?

The Bobber and Spyder Front guards interchange with each other but don't go on the Daytona. Bobber guard will go on Spyder or Daytona but requires welding tabs on the swingarm.

Don't know of any but I would call vic-tri chief who are located in Hornsby and ask them. If they can't do it, im sure they know someone who can and generally they know people who are reasonably priced. Their phone number is on this forum somewhere as they are a Hunter approved Service workshop.
